Where were you born? - Born and raised in Spring, Texas.

What is your nickname? - Irish

Where do you train/what city do you represent? - I train all over!  Around the Houston area I train at Rocky Long's, Team Tooke's, Gracie Barra TW, and Kru Pongs.  I like to make the drive up to Plano once a month to train with Saekson Janjira. (saekson.com)  Last year I trained in Thailand for a month, and once my lease is up I'll be back!

What is your style and what does a normal day of training look like? - About 6 years. I started boxing in high school, and met Yves Edwards at the Golden Gloves tournament. After meeting him, I started training with him and he introduced me to Muay Thai, BJJ, and his patented "Thugjitsu" lol.

I just bought a versaclimber....man they're tough! -Warm up for about 15 minutes -Work techniques for about 20 minutes -Spar 3-8 rounds -Gauntlet drills when a fight is around the corner (3-5 Rounds of everything with a fresh opponent every 30-60 sec)

What do you think are your strengths? - Boxing, Muay Thai, good training partners.

What is your current record? - 2004 Novice Southeast Regional Golden Gloves winner, 2008 USA Muay Thai Team, 3-1 Muay Thai & 9-2 Boxing

What is your typical game plan when facing an opponent? - Pressure him. Don't let him get comfortable.

How do you prepare yourself mentally before stepping into the ring? - Always say a prayer before heading out to the ring. I try to keep my mind pretty clear.

What type of music do you listen to and who is your favorite artist or song when entering the ring? - Last of the Mohicans theme song was my last entrance...I try and mix it up. My music taste is pretty diverse. I like folk rock, rockabilly, americana, rock, and rap before the year 2000. Some favs would be Ryan Bingham, Hayes Carll, Adam Carroll, Jesse Dayton, Rage Against the Machine, 311 (not any new), Old Crow Medicine Show, 90's rap...I'll cut it off there!

Do you have any heroes? Who in MMA do you think your style is similar to? - Anyone who has put their life on the line for the country. Military, Fire, Police. Sam Stout - likes to keep things standing, kickboxing background.

Who are your favorite fighters and why? - Irish Micky Ward - awesome left to the body, great heart, Yves Edwards - all round fighter, good friend, and Samart Payakaroon - great muay thai fighter

What are your hobbies when you are not training or fighting? - Is relaxing a hobby? I dont know, just hang around my friends at the local spots. I work and train around gyms all day and just like to relax when out of work.

Where do you see your MMA career in 2 years? - 2 years, I'd like to have a regional title, you know like a Texas or Louisiana based promotions belt.

What is your ultimate goal in MMA? - Make it to the show! I'll take UFC, Dream, Strikeforce, Lumpinee, anything at those levels.

Can I say thanks to all my family and friends who have been there to support me through the lows and the highs! Clover Black, Fairtex, my coaches Saekson Janjira, Lewis Wood, training partners Antonio, Andrew, Jace, Rocky, Nick, 4 oz, Daniel, GBTW, Team Tooke!
