Danny Jones
How did you get involved with MMA? - I was getting a tattoo from my buddy, Taco, and he was telling me about an upcoming fight of his. I asked to come down and check out his gym. Since then I've been down there training for three years.

What is your weightclass? - 135 pound. I did not get in invovled in fighting sooner because I did not realize they have weight classes that small.

Your training background (i.e. muay thai, BJJ, kickboxing etc.) and where do you currently train? - I train in Shotokan Karate and wrestling at Campbell Martial Arts which is widely considered the best gym for stand-up fighting in the area. I also train in BJJ at The Pedro Sauer Acadamy in Boardman, Ohio. The Pedro Sauer Acadamy teaches Gracie BJJ.

How many amature fights have you compiled? - Five amature fights. Three wins- two by triangle choke and one by knockout, one legit loss at a higher weightclass, and one bull shit robbery (split decision).

Favorite fighters? Why? - Nick and Nate Diaz. They are well rounded fighters who aren't afraid of anyone or where the fight can take place; whether it be standing or on the ground.

Do you plan on making this a career? - Yes. I plan on training as much as i can to succeed in my goal and become a well rounded fighter.

UFC – is this your final goal? - No, the WEC is my goal. That is the biggest organization for my weight class.

Upcoming fights—where and do you know your opponent? - January 17th: King of the Cage. I do not know my opponent and I don't really care.
