Where do you train/what city do you represent? - Advanced Martial Arts & B52 Muai Thai out of North Brunswick, New Jersey.
What is your style and what does a normal day of training look like? - I have been training in MMA for 2 and a half years - Monday and Wednesday, AM/PM Gi Jits, PM Striking and Sparring. Tuesday and Thursday, AM Conditioning, PM Gi Jits and Striking Distance. Sprints 2 to 3 times per week and Wrestling at a local college at least once per week as well.
What do you think are your strengths? - Toughness, a strong desire to learn and wrestling.
What is your current record? - American Fight Organization Featherweight Champion and ranked #1 in New England and Upper Northeast.
What is your typical game plan when facing an opponent? - Don't over or underestimate anyone. Trust training. Every fight is just a test of preparation. Training is studying and preparation.
How do you prepare yourself mentally before stepping into the ring? - Music, pacing and feeding off of the crowd, especially if they are hostile.
What type of music do you listen to and who is your favorite artist or song when entering the ring? - Anything. Recently came out to Al Green's "Can't Get Next To You" because it remind me of my mom, family and the words speak of greatness.
Do you have any heroes? Who in MMA do you think your style is similar to? - Dan Gable, Lee Kemp, my grandparents, parents, and aunt.
Who are your favorite fighters and why? - I am a big fan of Spencer Fisher because of his relentless will and toughness.
What are your hobbies when you are not training or fighting? - My daughter and dog. I also coach wrestling and love to fish.
Where do you see your MMA career in 2 years? - Either coaching or using what i have learned to help under-priviledged kids. Oh, and still knocking people out! LOL!
What is your ultimate goal in MMA? - To grow as a fighter or rather to use the growth (discipline, mental and physical touchness, respect and the constant pursuit of greatness) to transpire over into other aspects of my life if not at all.
