What is your weightclass? - I fight weavyweight but have cut down to 205 before. Where do you train/what city do you represent? - I train at JG MMA Academy in Cincinnati, OH. What is your style and what does a normal day of training look like? - I've been training for about 6 years. I come from a Muay Thai background but training at JG my jui Jitsu is very good too. On Tuesdays and Thursdays; 10 am Muay Thai, then 11 am Pro Sparing Muay Thai and then 7:30pm jui jitsu. Monday and Wednesday, 10 am Muay Thai, 6 pm mma drills and 7:30 jui jitsu. Pad work is worked in all week along with wrestling. What do you think are your strengths? - I would say my attack. I am always on the attack. My hands and feet are solid. I want to make the guy I'm fighting always remember me. What is your current record? - 1-0-0 Professional Record What is your typical game plan when facing an opponent? - Be first. Stick to the game plan. How do you prepare yourself mentally before stepping into the ring? - I give thanks to everyone that helped me train. I see the fight as the reward for the hardwork. What type of music do you listen to and who is your favorite artist or song when entering the ring? - Anything heavy while I'm training. Something softer after to slow my mind down and relax. Do you have any heroes? Who in MMA do you think your style is similar to? - I have heros yeah. Not any well known people I guess. I respect the father that busts his ass for his kids and family. I respect the fighter that trains to be the very best and keeps a good attitude while doing it. I respect anyone that strives and works hard. Who are your favorite fighters and why? - Vitor Belfort is my all time because when he's on... my god is he on! What are your hobbies when you are not training or fighting? - I run my own screen printing business. I love doing that. I love spending time with my daughter Chloe. She is 19 months, she is the best thing I have ever done. Where do you see your MMA career in 2 years? - 10-0 in one of the bigger shows like UFC, Affliction etc etc What is your ultimate goal in MMA? - To be the very best I am able. To put forth the best effort. |
