UFC 101: Declaration, Dan Cramer vs. Matt Riddle Result
Dan Cramer lost a hard fought battle between fellow Ultimate Fighter cast member, Matt Riddle, at UFC 101: Declaration, August 8th, at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennyslvania. The American Top Team product was impressive in defeat, securing a guillatine choke and scoring points with a knockdown in the later rounds. Riddle’s wrestling was too much for Cramer to overcome, however, as the fight went to the judges, who gave a unananimous decision to Matt Riddle. Clover Black looks forward to seeing more of Dan Cramer, an exciting, young fighter who has plenty of potential to make an impact in the UFC’s welterweight division.   Aug-07-2009
Dan Cramer tipped the scale at 169.5, set to take on Matt Riddle at UFC 101:Declaration at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.Cramer, a product of American Top Team out of Coconut Creek, Florida, is about to step into the octogon for the second time in his young career. Cramer was a contestant on the seventh season of The Ultimate Fighter. In order for the fighters to make it on the show, they had to win an elimination fight. Cramer won his elimination round fight against Jeremiah Riggs by unanimous decision. Rampage Jackson selected Cramer to be part of Team Rampage. Cramer then defeated Luke Zachrich by technical knockout in the second round. In the semi-final matchup, Cramer was paired off against Team Forrest's first pick, Tim Credeur. Credeur submitted Cramer with a heel hook to end Cramer's run in the tournament. After the fight, Cramer said he made a rookie mistake and he should have won the fight. Clover Black is supporting Dan Cramer for his second UFC fight, and is looking forward to seeing more of this special fighter.  |
